Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Tuesday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best show currently on TV?” can be found at the end of this post.)
This week’s question: What is the worst show you’ve ever reviewed? Why was it so bad? Did you waver over the grade or rating you gave it?
Daniel Fienberg (@TheFienPrint), The Hollywood Reporter
I’ve compared “Mixology” to contracting TV herpes, “Fuller House” to exhuming a bloating, gaseous corpse and called “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” the perfect xenophobic TV show for Trump’s America. Still, there’s little doubt that no show has ever made me so irate for its mere misguided existence than a little show called “H8r” on The CW. If you don’t remember “H8r” the premise was this: Mario Lopez drives his F-list celebrity...

Well folks, America's Got Talent's second night of auditions was filled with singing, acrobatting, card-tossing, motor cross stunting, praying, jumping, tapping and baby rapping. Some of the best entertainment involved our judges Heidi Klum who let a magician swipe her bra, Howie Mandel who got a cranial lobotomy via magical massage, and both Howie and Howard Stern who demonstrate their dancing prowess after mere moments of tutelage by an amazing male salsa team, David Leeman. It was good entertainment, folks, and we learned that Howie dances like Martin Short. That was a gas.

If Kenichi Ebina hadn’t walked away with the $1 million and Las Vegas show, it would have been a travesty. This guy has been a frontrunner from the very beginning.

It’s finals time! (No, not school finals, ‘America’s Got Talent’ finals!) The top 12 performed incredible acts Sept. 10 to fight for their spot in the competition, and we picked our five favorites.
It’s getting harder and harder to narrow down the best acts. Every act left on America’s Got Talent is something special. However, we did make the gut-wrenching decisions as to who our top five performances were. Take a look and see if you agree!
Top 5 Performances Of Sept. 10
5. Cami Bradley
Our love for Cami continues to grow. Her rendition of Jon Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer” was downright stunning. Her emotional performance and incredible voice were on point and perfect to close out the night. Howie Mandel proclaimed that she is a “star” and Howard Stern even said, “You’ve got a great career ahead of you.” We agree, Howard. Cami is on fire.

America’s Got Talent is turning up the heat in the competition in the first round of semi-finals. The road to the top 12 is a tough one as six acts were sent home after the Aug. 27 performances. Some of our favorites were saved by America’s vote and some made their last appearance on the Radio City Music Hall stage. The Voice winner Cassadee Pope also performed her hit single “Wasting All These Tears.”

Innovative Force, one hit wonder Tone Tha Chiefrocca, and juggling extraordinaire Red Panda were the first acts to face elimination. This one was a no brainer. There was no doubt that Innovative Force wouldn’t move on. America voted right on these young ladies.

Howie Mandel recruited his "America's Got Talent"co-star, Heidi Klum, onto his new hidden camera prank show, "Deal With It." While she was there, she got to slap a guy, but it wasn't Howie.
The show pairs celebrities with regular folks who are competing for money. Via hidden earpieces, the celebrities try to convince the non-celebs to do crazy things to their friends in order to win money. Heidi decided to make it a hands-on challenge -- a hands-on-her challenge! While the contestant, Allen, was with his friend at a hotel lobby, Heidi told him, "I’m gonna walk through the lobby now, and you’re gonna slap me on the ass.”
Allen looked shocked, but he played along. "That’s Heidi Klum," he told his buddy. "I’m gonna slap her ass. She’s so hot.” Of course, his friend would never believe he would really go through with something so crazy.

Another week, another round of 12 talents battling it out for a place in the semi-finals on ‘America’s Got Talent.’ The stakes continue to get higher every week, and the competition was flying high (literally) on the July 30 episode.
America’s Got Talent is making itself quite at home at Radio City Music Hall. The July 30 live episode featured another set of 12 amazing talents trying to earn votes for a spot in the semi-finals. To be honest, I’ve never been all that interested in magicians — but that changed when Collins magically appeared on my TV screen.
From the moment I first saw Collins Key and his captivating magic tricks on the second week of auditions, I’ve been hooked. America’s Got Talent is the perfect platform for Collins to showcase his abilities — and hopefully make it to the final rounds of the competition!
Collins Connects With The Audience
Of all the magicians I saw audition on America’s Got Talent, Collins was the one I couldn’t forget. He doesn’t just stand on stage and do card tricks, or an extravagant disappearing act; he actually connects with the judges and audience.
This 17-year-old’s first audition in San Antonio was what sealed the deal for me, when he created the illusion of transporting a dollar bill into a popcorn bag. He...

Mel B’s laugh is infectious. Whenever I felt my interest in this show waning, all she had to do was let out a loud, deep, howl and I was back in. Heidi Klum continues to prove that she’s adorable and lovable. Both new judges have great chemistry with the guys. Everyone seems like friends and everyone’s having fun.

Howard argues with Howie. Heidi rolls her eyes. And Mel B? She just sits back in her chair with her arms folded, looking...Scary. Judging from our roundtable discussion in Los Angeles with the four panelists of America's Got Talent — returnees Howard Stern and Howie Mandel and newbies Heidi Klum and former Spice Girl Mel B — nobody's going to be singing "Kumbaya" this season. "Having the two ladies in the middle and the two Hs at the ends, it's working out great," says Agt host Nick Cannon later, at a separate photo shoot. "They've got great chemistry. They get along really well. And when they don't get along, it's even better, because it's so entertaining."
