Sex & Nudity

  • A man and a woman are seen kissing and on top of each other. They are fully clothed, and the scene does not last for long.
  • Creatures have mouths that look suspiciously like giant anuses or giant female genitalia which talk to people.
  • A giant centipede/man hybrid implicitly rapes and kills a homosexual young man. The creature jabs its claws into and under the sides of its victims face while doing so.
  • A giant typewriter bug grows a large penis, transforms into a creature with human-like buttocks, and jumps on top of a couple making out. It crawls away with its penis visible, and is whipped multiple times.
  • Some sexual dialogue throughout.

Violence & Gore

  • A giant centipede/man hybrid implicitly rapes and kills a homosexual young man. The creature bloodily claws the sides of its victim's face while doing so.
  • Gigantic black centipedes are cut up into bloody pieces to make an exotic psychotropic drug.
  • A typewriter (one of the anus-bugs) is torn into little pieces by another bug.
  • A large bug is struck repeatedly and smashed into a gooey mess

Profanity

  • "Christ" used as a swear word.
  • "Cunt" is used in reference to a female character.
  • 4 uses of "fuck"
  • A Chinese man is referred to as a chink.
  • Homosexuals are called "faggots" and "queers"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Addiction to 'bug powder', an insecticide is a main theme, injections and rubbing over vagina-like (female external genitalia - not literal vagina or birth canal) body parts are frequent.
  • Cigarettes and cigars are smoked throughout the entire movie.
  • Alcohol is consumed.
  • There is frequent reference to Hashish (for oral consumption). This is as Majoun where Cannabis is mixed with dried fruits, nuts, and spices to make the Moroccan candy called majoun, love potion in Arabic.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film isn't necessarily frightening in the conventional horror film sense. Topics such as substance abuse and addiction, mental illness, homosexuality, bisexuality, societal and individual homophobia - even amongst homosexuals, rape and spousal homicide (albeit accidental rather than intentional) and overt and implied racism are dealt with in a surreal manner.
