- Several main characters smoke and there is an opening scene featuring a man in a pub. Later in the film a drunk driver is towed from the street to pay for his crime when he receives a citizens arrest.

- There are several harrowing scenes involving the villain stalking cars on the highway in his Cadillac. There is one scene in which the lead characters drive out in front of a huge oncoming truck which is particularly disturbing.
