Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • A little girl tells a little boy that she's ready and he briefly lays on top of her but her father appears and he runs away.
  • In one scene a boy is tricked into sticking his penis into a bottle to demonstrate how to impregnate a girl. It is only shown at angles that obscure any nudity.
  • An old man asks a young boy to read a lingerie catalog to him. Illustrations of women in lingerie can be seen. No nudity but words like "breasts" are included in the text.
  • A woman undresses to her underwear and laughs when chased into the bedroom by her husband who barks at her like a dog.
  • At a glass factory, a man makes a glass vase with breasts on it like a bust sculpture.
  • A boy sneaks around an artist's studio and manages to view a nude model as she is posing through a window on the roof. We see her breasts, hips and butt for a very brief moment.
  • A young girl opens her shirt in front of an equally young boy and asks him to wrap a bandage around her chest to flatten her developing breasts. Later in the film, she shows her breasts to him again, stating they have grown. She asks whether he has grown also, referring to his genitals. When he refuses to answer, the girl wrestles with him in an attempt to find out, but soon gives up.

Violence & Gore

  • When a boy looks through the window on the roof he falls through. He is later seen with some minor cuts on his body.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is the death of a person's mother in the film, and the emotional reaction by the child is very strong. The mother is shown to be very sick for much of the film. There is only a brief moment that is graphic when she coughs blood on her hand.
