Sex & Nudity

  • There are several scenes of passionate kissing, one implied sex scene, and one actual sex scene. No nudity is shown in the movie, though the characters are seen in bed, and he is shown shirtless a handful of times.
  • A woman and a man lie in bed with the woman caressing and kissing the man. It is implied they just had sex and they are naked. The camera pans down and you see the top of her buttock.
  • A man and a woman are shown having sex in a Mayan temple. The scene lasts 40 seconds and is mildly explicit- there is no full nudity and the scene is interspersed with images of the temple. The characters appear to be naked and at one point one of her breasts is very briefly visible.
  • In neither case is there any real nudity.
  • A woman wearing a thin white mexican style top falls into the sea and walks back out completely wet. Her breasts can be seen through the wet top from a little ways away.
  • The characters are seen in bathing suits in several scenes (she is wearing a one-piece).

Violence & Gore

  • A stabbing is discussed but not shown. The stabbing victim appears walking with a limp and using a cane.
  • A man pushes another man into a drum kit.
  • Two men have a knock down, drag-out fight in a Mayan temple.
  • A man tries to take a gun away from a woman and she shoots him in the chest. He dies slowly and you see a lot of blood.
  • A lawyer is found dead in his office, shot in the head with a lot of blood.
  • Two men fight and one man slams the other man's head into a glass door.
  • Two men have a fistfight in a lawyer's office.
  • A woman impales a man's hand to a door with a letter opener. He screams in pain and you see some blood.
  • A man jumps from behind some bushes and takes a gun away from another man.

Profanity

  • Numerous uses of curse words throughout the film.
  • A character makes two racist remarks to a black character.
  • The F-word is said 29 times, especially in the first half of the movie. It is usually used in anger (vs a sexual meaning).

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There is occasional drinking and a couple of instances of drug (cocaine) use during the movie.
  • A woman invites a man to have drinks with her at a bar.
  • A woman discusses her past drug addiction and her brother's death from a drug overdose.
  • A man and woman have a glass of tequila while walking around her house and talking.
  • A woman is shown drinking at a bar and admits she is drunk.
  • A man is shown doing cocaine in a bathroom.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A man grabs a woman and holds her hostage by putting a gun to her head.
  • A secretary breaks into a lawyer's office to steal blackmail material.
  • Two men have a car race on a crowded Los Angeles freeway, endangering themselves and other drivers

  • A woman picks up a gun lying on the ground and shoots a man several times in the chest and stomach, killing him. You see some blood.
