- A minor character is coerced by Max to give him the inside scoop on Videodrome. Max first tries to bribe her by stating, "we can take a shower together,", but after he realizes she's into the much younger male waiter working nearby, he implies he can get her a room with a male prostitute.
Violence & Gore
- The protagonist shoots a man in a business room at close range, shooting him in the arm and chest while blood is shown spraying from both wounds; he then shoots him one final time off-screen. He walks up to a man and shoots him twice off-screen but blood is shown spraying from his chin and head, this is very realistic.
- A woman is strangled to death with a whip, this is pretty disturbing to watch.
- A man's hand is badly mangled and blood is shown pooling around his stump; he then explodes and is killed but no blood is seen.
- A man is shot repeatedly in the stomach and then in the head, mild blood is shown. However, his body begins to contort and mutate as several fleshy objects emerge from the inside, crushing his skull, face, and torso inwards from the inside.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- A man puts a video cassette inside of Max's belly. After crawling around, he stuffs his hand inside his belly, and takes out a gun. The gun merges with his hand as wires plug into his skin. It is later seen in full form.
- This movie centers around a cable mogul, who gets a "snuff" movie channel for his station. and it seems that the station seems to come to life and forces the man to go mentally insane....he imagines all sorts of things, with very graphic results. he ends up shooting himself at the end of the movie, which is onscreen
