Better than the first, Taboo II is the second part of the three film trilogy. A porn flick none the less, Taboo II is one of the all time XXX classics. With quality directing, a decent story, and convincing acting, Taboo II deserves to be in the all time best section with other films such as Debbie Does Dallas and Deep Throat. Keep your eyes open for a young Dorthy La Mey who is the star of the film. Unlike the majority of porn stars today, she can act.

Probably the Best of the Series (But That Ain't Saying Much)

Admittedly, I haven't seen the first in this somewhat notorious series of adult films, so perhaps I'm missing something. While the first and the third films focused on Kay Parker's Barbara Scott and her sons, this one concerns the family of Sherry McBride, portrayed by Dorothy Le May who apparently played a girlfriend character in the original Taboo. (This film, incidentally, was Le May's last adult film, though some she'd made earlier were released after it.)
While there are some touches of realism -- Sherry initially reacts with horror and disgust to the news that her old boyfriend has been having sex with his own mother -- they are of course subverted by the need to have as much sex in the film as possible. (A bit of dialogue between Sherry and Barbara, indicating that she's still not happy that the other woman stole her boyfriend, even though she's willing to have sex with her, might have improved matters.) Another nice touch is the lengthy, increasingly inebriated monologue that Honey Wilder's character, the mother of incestuous siblings Junior and Sherry, gives after discovering what they're up to, in which she gradually talks herself into having sex with her son.

I've always found the first TABOO to be somewhat overrated. Kay Parker's scenes in that film are woefully inadequate in how they were shot and executed. Here, though, we get to see the mature and busty Kay in all of her glory, and it's a lot of glory. The film also ups the ante on the "taboo" aspect, as it has a whole family getting involved with one another sexually. Dorothy Le May as the daughter/sister is at her best here as well, and while her scene with her "brother" is a little lacking, her sex scene with "dad" while "mom" sleeps next to them, unaware, is absolutely scorching.
The film is one of the best of its type. Shot on film and with actual attempts at a plot and acting, there's very few of its type that compare.

Some of the greatest comedic dialogue you can find! Stuff like, "I don't know whether to cry or get a hard on" had me laughing so hard that I almost didn't notice the sex! This is porno at its best. Campy, gritty, funny, and raw. The girls are real (no silicone and gloss) the sex is real (straight forward and intimate), and Ron Jeremy is skinny- this is definitely not porn of today! Rent this with a cool chick who can appreciate a good campy movie and has an appreciation for film. Then get down with her during the swingers' orgy scene. This film rocks! And I do mean FILM, not some cheesy run of the mill dime a dozen adult videos that exist today. See it for the great comedy writing in the vein of the Zuckers, the Farrelys, and Trey and Matt (South Park).

Perhaps it was because this was my first experience with a porn film, perhaps it was because I first saw it during my teenage years, but this movie is by far the best I've ever seen in its genre. I'm not sure if spoilers count in a porn film, since you usually know what's going to happen anyway, but this film deals with incest - more than a little unsettling if you stop to think about it, but in a porn film, you can suspend disbelief to enjoy the scenes.
Start with a family of four - Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister. Throw in every sexual combo of these four (at least once), then Brother with Girlfriend, Brother with Sister's ex-boyfriend's Mom, Sister with Brother's Girlfriend, and a great big party scene with Brother, Sister, and lots of other folks - including the Great Ron Jeremy. The second in the series and in my opinion far inferior to either 1 or 3. The story had a loose connection with the first in that Dorothy LeMay meets up with Kay Parker in a card shop and proceeds to ask what happened to Paul (Mike Ranger), as in why did he suddenly disappear. Kevin James lisps his way into the conversation and says he needs to return some tools he borrowed off Paul, and should he return them to Barbara (Kay Parker).Kay Parker is always HOT so enough said. After taking on both KP and Juliet Anderson, Junior then sets in place his plan to do his sister and then his mother. Honey Wilder (the Mother) is always HOT so enough said. But the other performances were so so, and even though Dorothy LeMay (the Sister)never quite did it for me, she was pretty good here.
Eric Edwards was solid as usual as was Kevin James, but overall the film just didn't have the same heat as Number 1.

I seem to remember that the original VHS release was approximately one hour and fifty minutes long. This movie is focused on Dorothy Lemay's family played by Eric Edwards(dad),Honey Wilder (in her best role as mom), and Kevin James as big brother. I can say without hesitation that this one is much better than the original "Taboo". There are nine scenes #1 Kay Parker, Juliett Anerson, and Kevin James. #2 James and Bambii. #3 James, Bambii, Lemay #4 Honey Wilder and Eric Edwards. #5 James and Lemay. #6 Wilder and James. #7 Humungous orgy featuring Parker, Anderson, Lemay and at least 15 extras. #8 Lemay and Edwards #9 Wilder and Edwards. The story is believable, but unlikely.

Kirdy Stevens' original Taboo was a seriously unique pornographic film, coming at a time when pornography was still, itself, a taboo in American culture. To make a film concerned with mother/son incest during a time when an unrelated, unmarried male and female having sex was frowned upon was nothing but daring and Stevens did it with his original, 1980 masterpiece with complete class and conviction. If one approached the film with an open mind and a willingness to understand the characters and their motivations, there's no way somebody who doesn't regularly view pornography would find Taboo something to slam or condemn as a film. It was a serious pornographic film that dealt with loneliness and the risk of doing something that is so wrong, although it feels so right.
Stevens' followup to his unexpected success, Taboo II, unfortunately, is everything that would've had the original Taboo condemned and shoved to the side while genre classics like Deep Throat and The Opening of Misty Beethoven endured all the love. This is an overlong and repetitive stroll through pornographic conventions, less concerned with narrative and themes and more concerned with interchangeable characters and undeveloped situations that adhere towards the realm of basic masturbatory fantasies rather than anything worth remembering.
Our story, rather than focusing on Barbara (Kay Parker) from the original film, concerns the McBride's, a family where husband and wife Joyce and Greg Sr. (Honey Wilder and Eric Edwards) have reached a point where their sex life is at a standstill. Meanwhile, their son Greg Jr. (Kevin James) can't seem to control his sexual urges for his sister Sherrie (Dorothy LeMay), Paul's girlfriend from the original film, constantly trying to seduce her whenever the two are alone. The film focuses on Greg Jr.'s relentless pursuit for his sister, in addition to his sister's eventual pursuit for her father. Barbara's role in the film is largely shifted to being a secondary character, with her character being used to reflect on the time her and Paul had sex and had to conceal their fling from everyone they knew.
The fact that the majority of Taboo concerns Paul's girlfriend's family is already a disappointment, given all the time Stevens and writer Helene Terrie spent setting up Barbara's story of being a widow and left to care for her son. With focusing on the McBride's, more characters are thrown in the mix, providing for less realism behind the original incestuous act, leading me to question that, if everyone in this film seems to be having sex with their relative, doesn't that make the act not so much taboo but normal?
With that, while the original film pioneered not only the incest taboo, but the notion of mature women and the widely used "MILF" acronym as acceptable terminology in pornography, thanks to the daring and beautiful Kay Parker, Taboo II cops out at being a pornographic film that's more-or-less ordinary in style and approach. Because development on all these characters is so thin, nothing separates sex between Dorothy LeMay and Eric Edwards as something other than normal intercourse because so little development is given to them as characters. When Parker and Mike Ranger had sex in the original Taboo, a chord was struck in the audience and a level of discomfort that slowly morphed into eroticism was achieved. Taboo II takes that spark and smothers it with convention and a tired approach to something that should pop on screen.
Then there's the film's score, about as unabashedly corny as it could be, creating another layer of annoyance in a sequel to a film that was anything but annoying or ordinary. Taboo II, in the end, provides a case of trying to capture lightning in a bottle twice in a row and proving that kind of energy can do nothing but cause a self-destructive blow to a perfectly solid film, especially one so daring in an already controversial genre.

Studly Junior McBride (hunky and likable Kevin James) discovers that his best friend Paul Scott (Mike Ranger, who's seen only in flashbacks) had an incestuous affair with his mother Barbara (the always radiant and enticing Kay Parker). Director Kirdy Stevens maintains a cheerfully naughty tone throughout and does an ace job of crafting a deliriously erotic atmosphere. Moreover, Helene Terrie's bold script certainly doesn't punk out on exploring various different permutations of the incest premise: We've got brother/sister, son/mother, and daughter/father incest all present and accounted for. Better still, the copious sex scenes are extremely steamy and strenuous. Way better than the first in terms of story and pure hot steamy sex. The incest theme of the first movie is expanded to an entire family. Brother with sister , daughter with father , mother with son , and any other combination of girlfriends and partners that get thrown in the mix. More comedic and cheesy than the first..like it matters this is a porno afterall..Taboo II deserves to be recognized by porn afficinados everywhere. Eric Edwards is the father , Honey Wilder is the mother , and big bad Kevin James looking really Bruce Campbellish is Junior the son who wants to get it on with his sister (name escapes me) plus we have a very skinny and buff Ron Jeremy thrown in the mix to make it all worth the while

"Taboo 2" is my favourite all-time porn movie featuring three of the hottest pornstars who ever worked in the porn business. Having Honey Wilder, Kay Parker & Juliet Anderson in the same movie together, well it just doesn't get any better than that!. Juliet Anderson (aka Aunt Peg) was a really great porn actress, Kay Parker was just drop-dead gorgeous with a fabulous body & as for Honey Wilder, well no pornstar ever made feel like jerking off more than that unbelievably sexy mare. There is also an appearance by Cara Lott who was another knockout hot babe. This is just a fabulous porn movie.

After Viewing The First Few Minutes, We Get A Rundown OF What Happened In Part 1 and Jump To The Present as We're Treated What Seems To Be A Tame Film. A Tame Film, It's Not and Should Not Be Called Tame. The Various Sex Scenes Were All Done Masterfully As Only Director Kirdy Stevens Can Imagine. It's A Thrill To See A Film Of This Caliber and Unlike Today's Porn, This Was Done During The Golden Age When You Weren't Just A One Hit Actor, When Porn Was Beginning To Take Mainstream Cred, and When Ron Jeremy Was Not Fat. Yeah Ron Is In This Film and Should Be Along With The All-Star Talent That AreIn This Film. The Comedy Is A Bit Crude, But This A Porno Film So All Is Forgiven. It's Great How The Story Revolved Around The Mc Bride Family and Still Kept Referrence To Barbara's Story From Part 1, Where Later On In Part 3 Both Mothers Not Only Go At It With Each Other, But Their Second Sons As Well.
I Believe That Mr. Stevens Intended To Make Only The First Three Movies and Cut It From There. And kay parker was to good in. Scorching sequel hits the ground running

Unfathomable to most of us in reality, incest was a popular feature of X-rated movies in the 1980s and having broached the subject with the smash hit original, Kirdy Stevens and writer Helene Terrie cast aside any inhibitions on its treatment in this all-out sequel which proves at least as entertaining and successful.
Stevens' films were noted for their transgressive topics, audacious, often amusing dialogue, excellent production values and attention to detail, particularly in the shooting of the sex scenes. All are present here and it plays like a gloriously licentious TV movie though it must have looked great on the big screen. There's ideal casting and a complementary music score as well.
The opening scene swiftly establishes that Junior - Kevin James, who had all the physical attributes for a porn star and was an adequate actor too, but sadly died young - has the hots for his younger sister - a terrific performance from Dorothy Le May. They meet Kay Parker's Barbara in a stationery shop and he gets her address on the pretext of returning some tools of Paul's her son and Dorothy's ex. Cut to Barbara being given an erotic massage by her sex crazy best pal Gina - the incomparable Juliet Anderson. When answering the door to Junior, Gina sardonically delivers the best line in the movie "tools instead of flowers- how original". The resulting threesome is intensely erotic with Gina adding fuel to the flames by recounting how Barbara had bedded her own son. As usual, the voluptuous Kay Parker is magnificent, bringing that specific sincerity to her role added to her sophistication and sexual vigour. Juliet couldn't be bettered as Gina; later, with the appearance and demeanour of a society hostess she conducts an orgy including co-ordinating a Daisy Chain - a regular feature of Stevens' movies - and instructing an ingénue in the finer arts of going down. Her hallmarks of phenomenal sexuality, elegance and sense of fun are awe inspiring. I'm a great admirer of them both, they confound all the stereotypes of women appearing in adult entertainment.
Junior persists after the sizzling Dorothy, finally having his way with her through mutual girlfriend Bambi, who in a wicked scene goes down on her only to be imperceptibly replaced by him; he's soon inside her. After several more trysts they're caught in the act by pretty Mom Honey Wilder. "How am I going to get a car now?" is Dorothy's main concern - she's been promised one by Dad (Eric Edwards). Inevitably Honey and Junior get it together in a scene almost as powerful and erotic as that between Kay and Mike Ranger in the original, while Dorothy, whose scenes are set up with particularly mischievous ingenuity and is the mainstay of the latter half of the movie, attempts to seduce Eric, finally succeeding in the matrimonial bed while Honey sleeps two or three feet away as Stevens pushes the forbidden factor just a little more.
Stevens' films were noted for their transgressive topics, audacious, often amusing dialogue, excellent production values and attention to detail, particularly in the shooting of the sex scenes. All are present here and it plays like a gloriously licentious TV movie though it must have looked great on the big screen. There's ideal casting and a complementary music score as well.
The opening scene swiftly establishes that Junior - Kevin James, who had all the physical attributes for a porn star and was an adequate actor too, but sadly died young - has the hots for his younger sister - a terrific performance from Dorothy Le May. They meet Kay Parker's Barbara in a stationery shop and he gets her address on the pretext of returning some tools of Paul's her son and Dorothy's ex. Cut to Barbara being given an erotic massage by her sex crazy best pal Gina - the incomparable Juliet Anderson. When answering the door to Junior, Gina sardonically delivers the best line in the movie "tools instead of flowers- how original". The resulting threesome is intensely erotic with Gina adding fuel to the flames by recounting how Barbara had bedded her own son. As usual, the voluptuous Kay Parker is magnificent, bringing that specific sincerity to her role added to her sophistication and sexual vigour. Juliet couldn't be bettered as Gina; later, with the appearance and demeanour of a society hostess she conducts an orgy including co-ordinating a Daisy Chain - a regular feature of Stevens' movies - and instructing an ingénue in the finer arts of going down. Her hallmarks of phenomenal sexuality, elegance and sense of fun are awe inspiring. I'm a great admirer of them both, they confound all the stereotypes of women appearing in adult entertainment.
Junior persists after the sizzling Dorothy, finally having his way with her through mutual girlfriend Bambi, who in a wicked scene goes down on her only to be imperceptibly replaced by him; he's soon inside her. After several more trysts they're caught in the act by pretty Mom Honey Wilder. "How am I going to get a car now?" is Dorothy's main concern - she's been promised one by Dad (Eric Edwards). Inevitably Honey and Junior get it together in a scene almost as powerful and erotic as that between Kay and Mike Ranger in the original, while Dorothy, whose scenes are set up with particularly mischievous ingenuity and is the mainstay of the latter half of the movie, attempts to seduce Eric, finally succeeding in the matrimonial bed while Honey sleeps two or three feet away as Stevens pushes the forbidden factor just a little more.

Taboo II (1982)

Barbara Scott (Kay Parker) has sex with her son's best friend Junior McBride (Kevin James) and this is where he hears about her taboo affair with her son. Soon Junior is trying to bang his hot sister (Dorothy LeMay) and after that mission is accomplished he sets his sites on his own mother.
TABOO became a controversial hit when it was originally released so it was a no-brainer that a sequel would eventually follow. The first film, I'd argue, got lucky and it actually turned out to be a decent film but this sequel isn't nearly as good or as entertaining. Obviously the producers knew that they had to do something more shocking than the first film so now they have a guy trying to break two different taboos. Not only does he go after his sister but there's also the mother. It doesn't stop there as the sister eventually gets the hots for daddy! TABOO II isn't a film that I really enjoyed. I mean, yeah, there's the taboo subject line that gives the picture a weird quality to it but outside of this there's just not much here. It's basically just a cheap porno with a lot of sex scenes. If you're just into the sex scenes then there are plenty of them offered up here for your entertainment. Straight sex. Threesomes. Lesbian. There's even another orgy at the end (where you can see a young Ron Jeremy).
The problem that I had with the film is that it was rather boring and its 98-minute running time was just way too long. I do think the original TABOO wanted to tell a story and try to be something more than just your average porn film. TABOO II is just a sex film that doesn't have much going for it.
