Fernando Esteso recital showing his hilarious skills as a bagpiper get into trouble
ma-cortes12 February 2022
Typical Mariano Ozores movie in which a Soplagaitas or blowing bagpiper or Prick : Fernando Esteso works in a night club with no much success. One day , when he's back home after work, he becomes involved in a twisted mess, believing has been robbed, he takes the wallet of a person who results to be a corrupt politician : Rafael Alonso. To be aware about it , he attempts to give back the wallet , that's why the Soplagaitas disguises as a priest.

Ordinary Esteso movie with habitual ingredients as irony , silly jokes, disconcerting messes, nude girls , entertainment and amusement. This The Soplagaitas 1981 is made in the wake of the previous Pajares-Esteso movies, as they played big hit pictures , however, here Esteso provides an only recital without his colleague, as Fernando performed his own vehicles in some films as El Erotico enmascarado, El hijo del cura, Pepito Piscinas, El Primer Divorcio, Queremos un hijo tuyo, 4 Mujeres y un lio . Of course , the Seventies and Eighties were Destape or nudism time, that's why here appears the usual beautiful actresses showing their charming anatomy , such as Jenny Llada, Veronica Miriel and Pilar Alcón. Equally, there shows up a lot of famiiar faces who used to play in Mariano Ozores movies, such as : Antonio Ozores, Francisco Camoiras, Rafael Alonso, Emilio Fornet , Manuel Zarzo , Antonio Gamero , among others.

The motion picture titled El Soplagaitas or The Prick was regular but professionally shot by Mariano Ozores. A mediocre picture with some amusing moments , made in his usual style and had big success in the Spanish box office. Mariano is a prolific writer/filmmaker with penchant for comedies. As he made various vehicles for famous comedians such as Paco Martinez Soria, Jose Luis Lopez Vazquez, Alfredo Landa, Lina Morgan, Gracita Morales , Antonio Ozores , Jose Luis Ozores , Juanito Navarro and the popular duo Andres Pajares-Fernando Esteso with whom he worked in successful films as Los Bingueros, Los Liantes, Los Energeticos, La Lola los Lleva al Huerto, Yo Hice a Roque III, Al Este del Oeste, Pan debajo del Brazo, Padre no hay mas que dos . Mariano's family origin is into show business , being son of Mariano Ozores Sr and brother of José Luis Ozores and Antonio Ozores . Furthermore , uncle of Emma Ozores and Adriana Ozores who usually appears in his films . Mariano is a craftsman filmmaker and writer , in fact he wrote the fun screenplay , he recently won a Goya Award (2016) to his long and fruitful career . The latter made with these two famous comedians , -Fernando Esteso and Andres Pajares- several films , as they had various years partnership between the two leads , such as ¨Agitese Antes Usarla¨ , ¨Al Este Del Oeste¨, ¨Los Liantes¨, ¨Los Energeticos¨, ¨La Lola Lleva Al Huerto¨ , ¨El Currante¨ , ¨El Hijo Del Cura¨...these films are filled with humor that still holds up , especially for those not easily offended ; being sometimes cheesy and gross-out with numerous naughty and picaresque situations such as sex jokes , adulteries , crazy events , nudism , absurd situations , jealousy , and erotic scenes . Plus , they partially reflected the mood and the reality of Spain in the immediate Post-Franco era , dealing with politic juncture about the post-Franquismo in similar style to other films from this period . Ozores has a prolific career , as writer and as director , especially in comedy genre such as : Disparate Nacional , Tahiti's Girl , Brujas Magicas , Los Presuntos , Cuatro Mujeres Y Un Lío , Tío ¿De Verdad Vienen De París? , Alcalde Por Elección , Ellas Los Prefieren... Locas , El Apolítico , Jenaro El De Los 14 , Manolo La Nuit , El Abuelo Tiene plan , La Llamaban La Madrina , La Graduada , Venta Por Pisos and many others .
