Sin negar lo deslumbrante que pudiera llegar a ser este filme en 1980, aún no la considero como con una trama consistente desde las emociones, las aventuras y mucho menos desde lo atrapante. Desde ya, explico que soy un apasionado del género, pero la Guerra de las Galaxias no es mi debilidad. Si tuviera que calificarla con un tinte meramente personal y no haciendo ninguna abstracción, sería la nota de un filme más, mediocre en su generalidad. Pero viendo que posee atributos que llegarían a parecer al menos encomiables: la ambientación es digna de destacar, con buenos paisajes logrados a base de grandes innovaciones técnicas; los efectos visuales deslumbrantes, fuera de todo lo visto hasta entonces y unas actuaciones aceptables. Ahora bien, posee esos toques de humor con personajes funestos que sólo lograron incordiar en mi persona. Lo veo como una ridiculez mezclar un filme que tiene visos de seriedad con ese zafarrancho de R2D2 y el otro trozo de chatarra, Ni hablar del seudo gorila que gime en todo el filme. En fin, es para los fanáticos un culto; para mí una película más que pasó hace 24 años y que marcó un hito en la cinematografía de ficción.
