- The main character's niece wears dresses that would be considered very short by modern standards, but were deemed acceptable in the 1970s, when this movie takes place. In the last 30 minutes of the film, as she is being carried around by adults who are trying to evade the hordes of tarantulas, her white panties can be seen.
- One character flirts with his sister-in-law (whose husband died).
- A brief female side breast nudity, while she's taking a shower. We see her grabbing a towel (from the shower) sideways. The lightning is not bright, so her left breast is not real clear, from the angle she's in.

- Many scenes involve spiders attacking people and show resulting bite marks. Some people are shown wrapped in spider silk. A car crash and a plane crash/fireball result from spiders attacking the driver and pilot, respectively.

- Birch Colby shoots at spiders advancing on her, but misses. She then shoots off a spider off her own hand, in the process shooting off some of her own fingers. Blood is shown, but it is brief.
- Many side characters die-many are shown covered in spiders or rolled up in spiderwebs.
- The main character is wounded badly by spiders. He survives.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Walter gets attacked by spiders while driving a truck and ends up crashing it, resulting in his death. The crash is not shown but there is a jumpscare when his dead body falls out of the cab wrapped in spider webs, which is very disturbing.
- A woman rescuing her daughter from spiders is bitten several times during the rescue and ends up falling to the ground. Her daughter makes it to safety but witnesses her mother succumbing to the venom while covered in spiders.
- The ending may upset young ones.
