Final theatrical feature film of actor Scott Newman who was the son of Paul Newman. He died the following year of a drug and alcohol overdose.
The movie was filmed on the campus of the University of Southern California (USC) with most of the interiors and exteriors shot at the former 'Sigma Alpha Epsilon' fraternity house.
Many movie posters for the film featured a long blurb that read: ''They didn't smoke grass. They didn't take the pill. They didn't do their own thing. They went to college in the Fifties. They pledged fraternities. They celebrated Hell Week. They were the buttoned-down, bottled-up generation. And sometimes they exploded.''
A number of the key creatives were first named ''Thomas''. The director was Thomas J. Tobin whilst the two associate producers were called Thomas Pope and Thomas Joachim. One of the cast members was named Thomas Thomas.
Debut theatrical feature film directed by Thomas J. Tobin. The picture remains his only ever feature as a film director.
