Not bad on his own, similars with Buñuel
MRBICKLE10 February 2001
Between the thousands of movies that were made in Spain during the "destape" there were some that exploited teen erotism pretending to be portraits of this. If some has seen these movies "Los claros motivos del deseo" will look most of the same, but this is a film that contains some interesting points, both because some of its disturbing scenes (that even Buñuel could sign) and the tremendous plot that has. This is the story of an obsession, of a young girl who falls in love with a rude boy who ill-treats her (but she doesn't care). To complicate everything, the girl's brother (who is homosexual) also falls in love with the same boy, and this seeking revenge from the girl, fights her brother and almost kills him. Yes, there is plenty of erotism and nudity, but Picazo has enough talent to drive his story quite good. Not for all tastes, but the demonstration that even in the "destape" (the worst period in spanish cinema) were made some interesting movies.
