The second season of And Just Like That… has just wound to a close, and with the news of an upcoming third season on the way, many fans are binge-watching the romantic comedy series. And Just Like That... is the continuation of the iconic HBO series Sex and the City, and features many of the show’s original stars, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon.
The show also includes some new characters, including Nicole Ari Parker as Charlotte’s bougie and stylish friend, Lisa Todd Wexley. It’s Parker’s character, known affectionately as “Ltw” in the show, that is at the center of a controversial plotline that has some fans very disappointed.

To watch Marc Turtletaub’s “Jules” — a middlebrow dramedy starring Ben Kingsley as a widowed, half-senile eccentric so desperate for someone to care about him that he casually befriends the alien who crashes into his backyard — is to be reminded that truly strange movies have become hard to find. These days, a film this unusual is about as rare as a call from Milton’s estranged son, who hasn’t phoned home in several years.
Not that “Jules” would seem all that bizarre just by looking at it. On the contrary, this modest late summer whatsit looks and feels just like a million other milquetoast charmers aimed at audiences of a certain age, what with its reassuringly nice score and endless array of conflict-avoidant medium shots. The difference here is that those medium shots feature Sir Ben Kingsley sitting on a couch next to a silent and seemingly naked extraterrestrial...

Well, this is exciting casting news.
Walt Willey, who returned to screens as All My Children's Jackson Montgomery on General Hospital last month, is sticking around for a bit longer.
TV Line broke the news this week that Willey will return to the ABC daytime soap opera this month for a multi-episode arc.
Undoubtedly, AMC fans were happy to have one of the defunct soap opera's most iconic faces back in the role.
Willey spoke out about his initial turn on the series when his casting was revealed earlier this year.
"I am at a loss for words (a very rare condition in my case) over the outpouring of generous, kind and supportive posts… I cannot thank you all enough for loving and caring for me and Jackson," Willey tweeted.
Willey joined the cast of All My Children in 1987 and stayed there until the 2011 series finale on ABC.

A coroner’s investigation into the death of Adam Rich determined the Eight Is Enough child star died from an accidental overdose of fentanyl.
Rich, the former ’70s and ’80s child star best known for his page-boy haircut and role on the ABC dramedy, died five months ago, on Jan. 7, at age 54, and his body was discovered at his Los Angeles residence.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner said in its report that the death was from effects of the powerful opioid. The cause and manner of the child star’s death was ruled an accident.
Rich’s TV credits included The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, The City and 3-2-1. But he was best known for his role over five seasons on the ABC dramedy Eight Is Enough, which starred Dick Van Patten, and played Nicholas Bradford beginning at 8 years old. The show kicked off a nearly three-decade screen career for Rich.

Chris Noth is hitting back at a report that his former Sex and the City costars have given him the cold shoulder in the wake of him being accused of sexual assault by multiple women (allegations the actor has denied).
Responding to a New York Post story over the weekend alleging Noth feels “iced out” by his Sex and the City-turned-And Just Like That… colleagues, the man behind the late Mr. Big wrote on Instagram, “I usually don’t respond to this kind of thing. And I do know that people like drama and gossip… but this [New York Post] article… is absolute nonsense.

The Tick, out now on Amazon Prime Video, is huge fun. Here's how the show achieves what its creator envisioned 21 years ago...
In 1994, I was about to be a freshman in high school. Despite being “too old” for cartoons, there wasn’t really anything else on television on Saturday mornings while I was waiting for wrestling to show up on my television screen. I remember most of the cartoons I saw only in the vaguest terms: the creepy face of Louie Anderson’s gargoyle animated child or a screaming purple cat. I know the name of both shows because I looked them up prior to writing this article, but I couldn’t tell you anything about them. However, one show I watched regularly in the mid to late 90s stuck with me well into adulthood, and that’s the 1994-96 animated version of The Tick.

Star Trek is probably the most successful science fiction franchise of all time spanning six decades of science fiction storytelling. In the series, I will be looking at the highlights of all the past episodes from each season of all five TV shows that went before leading up to the new series Star Trek: Discovery that will be airing in the fall of 2017.
Star Trek: The Original Series – Season One
Original Broadcast: (September 8th 1966 – April 29th 1967)
Development
After a failed attempt at selling Star Trek to NBC with the pilot ‘The Cage’, starring Jeffrey Hunter as Captain Christopher Pike, NBC told Gene Roddenberry to film a second pilot with a more “action & adventure” orientated plot – which was unheard of at the time. Roddenberry complied and wrote two story outlines: one being ‘Mudd’s Women’ and the second being ‘The Omega Glory’ both of which were produced later on the series...

During Star Wars Celebration last weekend, Mark Hamill took the opportunity to plug his upcoming animated film, Batman: The Killing Joke. During his panel at the event the actor performed some dialogue from the film live as The Joker, and it's freakin' awesome! Hamill will always be my favorite version of The Joker. He just always manages to bring that character to life through his voice perfectly, and it's always fun to see him break out and do it live for his fans! As you'll see, he gets really into it and gives his fans a great show. Check it out!

Birthday shoutouts go to Roger Federer (above), who is ageless, Jc Chasez is 37, and Drew Lachey is 37.
Syfy has chosen the title for its NYC-centered Sharknado sequel from over 5,000 Twitter suggestions. They completely ignored my entry, Sharks & The City and instead went with … Sharknado 2: The Second One. Whatever.
As I still try to wrap my head around the fact that Karen Black is gone, here’s an interview with her Come Back To The Five And Dime, Jimmy Dean Jimmy Dean co-star Mark Patton, who talks about that experience, as well as playing Jesse in A Nightmare On Elm Street 2, and his despair over Hollywood homophobia. He also talks for the first time about being HIV Positive, and his happy life now, as he’s about to turn 50.

Until this very moment, Alexander Payne has made a rather successful career with his ability to seamlessly meld pain with biting black humor. His Citizen Ruth (1996) brazenly tackles the Pro-Life movement and its foes. Election (1999) wickedly chronicles the disasters raging high-school hormones wrought on both self-centered teens and their instructors. About Schmidt takes its aging eponymous widower (Jack Nicholson) on a caustic trip to self-discovery while attending his daughter's wedding. And Sideways (2004), an ode to oenophiles in search of love, won him an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay.
The Descendants, the closing-night attraction at the New York Film Festival, seems to be his first misstep, although the result is far from unbearable thanks to a talented cast that rises above a highly disjointed screenplay.
The opening shot is of Elizabeth King (Patricia Hastie), a beautiful blonde hurtling across a waterway with the gales of excitement blowing across her face. The locale is Hawaii.

A top reality TV drag queen has landed a leading role in Miami Vice star Don Johnson's new drama set in a Beverly Hills hairdressing salon.
D.J. Pierce, aka Shangela, was a hit on quirky U.S. TV show RuPaul's Drag Race, and now he's set for more television stardom.
He tells Eonline.com, "I play Snip. He's a hairstylist out of New York who comes to Los Angeles and gets into the busy life of the salon.
"I'm a gay queen from New York City who does hair, so you know I have a bit of a b**ch in me."
Shangela reveals his character won't be in drag at first, but adds, "I always got a wig in the bag - so if they need it, it's there!"
The upcoming drama will also feature Ellen Barkin and Sex & The City regular Mario Cantone.
