Basically for its entire 16 minutes in this black-and-white short film by Jean-Marie Straub, we see nothing but men sitting at a table and reading loudly and occasionally very aggressively from a book. The (occasionally pretty good) texts in here come from Arnold Schönberg and Bertolt Brecht. It's really difficult for me to believe that Straub works with the likes of Schygulla and Fassbinder judging from this peace of work here. This content works much better as an audio book, or as a book right away. Really pointless to add a video aspect here. Film is not an appropriate medium here, at least not Straub's approach. Not recommended.
