Sex & Nudity

  • A man is told to drop his pants but no nudity is seen. At most his long johns are seen.

Violence & Gore

  • For a John Wayne Western, this movie is particularly Violent. The opening sequence shows several scenes of men being being brutally shot, a young boy shot, and a woman killed with a machete, though nothing is shown. Blood is seen but their is no gore. Not much more extensive violence until the end, when a man and a dog are killed with a machete (though nothing is shown) and several men are shot. One man is impaled on a pitchfork, although it isn't very graphic.

Profanity

  • Some damns and hells. "Son of a Bitch" is used once, and the f-word is muffled twice.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There is a scene at a bar with a few characters drinking and smoking. This is more of a humorous scene though.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Suggested MPAA Re-rating: R for Areas of Bloody Western Violence, And Some Strong Language.
