- Sergio fantasises about his maid's baptism - he puts himself in the position of the priest and in his mind her shirt clings to her chest in a moderately revealing way. He then imagines kissing her and her lying fully naked on the bed (although covering herself appropriately).
- There is a montage sequence in which a series of erotic, previously-banned clips are presented - each clip repeated several times. 1) a couple in swimwear making out on some rocks 2) a naked woman (in the far background) getting into a bath 3) a woman shown from the knees down taking off panties 4) a woman taking off her bra (shown fully topless). 5) a couple kissing in bed under some covers.
- A man takes a 16 year-old girl back to his flat and seduces her. They kiss several times and he removes the strap from her bra before the shot cuts away. After they've had sex the girl is upset and says that he's "ruined her".
- A schoolboy draws a naked woman in his exercise book.
- Sergio is shown as a boy visiting two separate girls in a brothel. He is shown with the first (they are naked but only filmed from the shoulder up). With the second they are seen kissing and embracing naked from the waist up with her arm covering her breasts.
- Sergio has a brief relationship with a schoolgirl. She is shown naked from behind from the waist up with the side of her breasts clearly visible. He is naked under the covers.
- There is a court case in which a man is accused of raping a young girl. Mild formal sexual language (e.g. virgin).

Frightening & Intense Scenes

- There is a montage of starving children (lasting roughly 15 seconds).
- The film deals with Cuba's troubled past and there are a couple of montages with disturbing images.
- A woman describes how she was attacked and abused by soldiers.
- A team of investigators examine a selection of implements used in torture, including a human skull.
- Men are shown with scarred backs from when they've been beaten. Two corpses are then shown.
- A man with a heavilly bandaged head appears. A group of men survey a scene in which a number (six to eight) of blood-stained corpses lie on the ground.
- A crowd of protesters are dispersed by a water cannon.
