Glenn Ford specifically asked for Stella Stevens as his leading lady. They had worked together twice before: first in The Courtship of Eddie's Father (1963) and then in Advance to the Rear (1964).
The film was critically drubbed, but Stella Stevens has cited her character---Perla, the whore with a heart of gold---as one of her preferred performances.
Bruce LaBruce considers Rage (1966) "an unfairly forgotten masterpiece of low-budget exploitation cinema."
The opening credits indicate the title of Rage (1966) is 48 Ore Per Non Morire, which translated from Italian to English is "48 Hours Not To Die." It was produced in Mexico in 1965 as "El mal."
