Incredible, There is no other movie with such a quantity (and quality) of people from the arts.

Every time that I see this movie the result is the same, what were the conditions of the epoch to see such an incredible cast of characters. I haven't see another movie with so many artists, at least as important as the artists that appear in this movie.

A Nobel prize, one surrealistic painter, a painter of the Mexican generation after José Clemente Orozco, Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, O'Gorman; one surrealistic director, several of the most important Mexican writers, the director of the movie.

The character of Luis Buñuel was chosen by himself, "I want to appear in the movie as a priest" was the Buñuel's condition. Juan Rulfo, Gabriel García Marquez and Carlos Mosivais showed that writing is their greatest talent, not acting. The plastic arts were represented in the film by the great painters Leonora Carrington and José Luis Cuevas.

With this set of actors the director could not resist the temptation of acting in the movie.

Such a delight of movie!

If someone is interested in Mexican culture at that time this film is absolutely a must.
