Sex & Nudity

  • The lead female brings up a time when her husband came home "with lipstick on his collar" implying infidelity.
  • The lead female runs around in a skimpy under-dress for the entire end of the film. As she runs through the town, it becomes skimpier and skimpier as material gets torn from it.
  • A man tries to convince a married woman to run away with him but she rebuffs him.

Violence & Gore

  • There are a series of short fist-fights - Marquis of Queensbury style - with one interruption by somebody instructing one of the combatants in the rules, breaking the rules in the process to demonstrate what isn't allowed.
  • A man is shot with a blank cartridge and subsequently uses a coal shovel to spank the girl who asked for him to be shot.
  • There is a brawl with lots of punching and some pricks with a hat pin.
  • There is an old-style cowboy and Indian gunfight--lots of shooting but nobody getting shot.
  • A man catches his wife and spanks her with a coal shovel in front of the whole town. This scene would NOT work well in today's standards.

Profanity

  • H*ll is used twice for comic effect.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There's a fair amount of drinking (even first thing in the morning) and several scenes of comedic drunkenness.
  • A few of the men smoke cigars from time to time.
