Hilarious Paella Western of historical interest , being the first Chorizo Western shot in Spain
ma-cortes15 January 2018
Spoof Tortilla or Paella Western with famous and prestigious Spanish actors . It deals with Tom Rodriguez, (Tony Leblanc) a young cowboy, arrives in Torrejón City from Alcalá , Spain . However in Torrejón City the unsuspecting Tom is mistaken for the famous outlaw Tim El Malo (Tony Leblanc himself) and the people want to hang or lynch him . Just in time , he is saved when the villagers discover the mistake . Then , he is appointed as the local sheriff to chase the villian Tim El Malo . Meantime , the good guy Tim falls in love for Ruth (May Heatherly) , niece of a wealthy owner (Antonio Garisa) . After that , Tim the Good sets out in pursuit for hunt the real outlaw , Tim El Malo. Shortly after, at a cave he meets Tim the Bad who results to be his Spanish cousin who long time ago emigrated to America .

Average Pasta Chorizo Western produced by Spain with usual ingredients as shootouts , fights , go riding and lots of humor with tongue in cheek .There are several brawls and fighting , including punches , slaps and Kickass , but with no blood , neither violence , but hilarious confrontation. The flick contains silly incidents , fun plot twists , tongue-in-cheek , grotesque situations and above all , it especially contains catching touches of humor and irony . Sitting in a strange middle ground between the completely absurd and the stylishly enjoyable . There are some nice jokes in the film and the cast , playing eccentric characters , make a cosy fit . It takes a simple concept , a bandit along with his shameless hechmen execute petty thefts and tricks , confronting the good guy , a new and botcher sheriff . It stars the great comical actor Tony Leblanc who starred several Spanish classic movies as Los Astronautas , Los económicamente débiles , Chicas de la Cruz Roja , 091 Policía al habla , Don Lucio y el hermano Pío and Los Tramposos . Along with a plethora of notorious secondaries as Antonio Garisa , Mara Laso , Mary Begoña , Xan das Bolas , Luis Sánchez Polack , Beni Deus , Venacio Muro and Paco Moran . And three who subsequently would play a great numer of Spaghettis as Alvaro De Luna , José Canalejas and Simón Arriaga .The film expanded a string of hilarious movies shot in Spain by that time , usually starred by couples as : Walter Chiari-Raimondo Vianello , and Franco Franchi-Ciccio Ingrassia such as : ¨I genelli del Texas (64) by Steno ; ¨Duo Mafiosi nel Far West (65) , ¨Heroes del Oeste¨ by Stefano Vancini ; ¨Per un Pugno nell' occhio¨ or ¨Dos caraduras de Texas¨ ; ¨Per qualche dollare in mmemo¨(66) by Mario Mattioli with Lando Buzzanca , ¨Big bang kid¨(67) , ¨Il bello , il bruto , il cretino¨(67) by Giovanni Grimaldi .

Atmospheric and evocative cinematography by Manuel Hernández . Being shot on location in Colmenar Viejo, Manzanares del Real , Madrid surroundings . Catching musical score by Gregorio García Segura , including songs sung by Tony Leblanc . The motion picture was regularly directed Leon Klimovski . Klimovsky was a fine and prolific craftsman . Klimovsky was born on October 16, 1906 in Buenos Aires, Argentina as León Klimovsky Dulfano . Founded Argentina's first film club in 1929 . Began his film career making short movies . Settled in Spain in the 1950s and became a Spanish citizen . His best film was ¨La paz no empieza nunca¨ that won National Syndicate of Spectacle award , it had Special Award Best Film for León Klimovsky and to Compañía Industrial Film Español S.A. Horribly Bad Roots of Spaghetti Western
noirboi10 January 2018
One of the early examples of the so-called Spaghetti Western genre this Comedy Western starring Spanish comedian Tony LeBlanc playing two opposing characters, one is short-sighted and cowardly cowboy named Tim the Good and other being aggressive and fear-inducing bandit called Tim the Bad. Most comedy situations in this movie based on the fact that both leads are look alikes which, if done good, could bring some laughs. Sadly, it's not the case here. I watched this movie in Spanish with English subtitles and maybe something was lost in translation, but it was unbelievably unfunny, uninspired and boring movie. Can be interesting only for somebody interested in the roots of Spaghetti Western genre. Others can skip and forget about it.
