Joyful as well as sad Spanish dramatic movie with good feeling , attractive characters and much sensibility
ma-cortes8 February 2022
Enjoyable and attractive film with deep sentiment , high sensitivity and charming characters ; dealing the intimate relationship between a sick child and the soldiers of an air base . It turns out be an awesome film , likeness to other masterpieces starred by Pablito Calvo , such as : ¨Mi Tio Jacinto¨ and ¨Marcelino Bread and Wine¨ ; and even superior to ¨An Angel over Brooklyn¨. This an enjoyable and feeling movie full of mirth , sensitiveness , humor touches and enjoyable message based on a story and screenplay by Manuel Tamayo . At the same time the film gives us an ample panorama on Madrid life and about an Air Base . Miguelito (Pablito Calvo) is a seriously ill little boy who lives with his parents near the US Air base in Zaragoza (Aragón , Spain). Both the American (Antonio Vilar , Peter Damon) and Spanish commanders (Alfredo Mayo) and Sergeants (Fernando Sancho, Gerard Tichy) sacrifices themselves for others and they will do the impossible to get the doctors and medicines that will cure him . As Miguelito becomes ¨the mascot of the regiment¨. Grateful, Miguelito will stand at the air base to thank them their goodness .And gradually, was able to gain the trust and love of the relunctant military (Gerard Tichy) . Eventually , Miguelito is appointed honorary Colonel and before him, all the soldiers of the Academy parade and the planes of the air base fly in spectacular pirouettes and impressive aerial capers.

An agreeable and thoughtful drama for the open-minded people , concerning kindness , sacrifice , generosity , religion and kindness with nice mood , well-performed , and evocative scenarios . Interesting and engaging drama with brief touches of comedy thanks to Manolo Morán . Dealing with Madrid habits and the Zaragozan Air Force Base , along with religious elements in the Fifties/Sixties style . Sympathy , fraternity , goodness, companionship , sacrifice mantain a real grip across , including a sensitive finale , adding other moving events . Along the way , the film reflects the way of life in a Madrid barrio and especially at the US Air Force base . This, however, only seemed to provide him with an even greater spectacle to ameliorate the conditions of his illness and eventually Miguelito's caught the disease of leukemia .The main role "Miguelito Ramos" is played by Pablito Calvo in a phenomenal manner , can be said that the same is perfectly adequate to his measure . ¨Miguelito¨is masterfully acted by Pablito Calvo alongside with known actors playing philantropic roles . Right developing resides on superb characters well performed by all casting with plenty of familiar players and adding the sympathy , simplicity of Pablito Calvo . There appears notorious secondary actors , acting to perfection , such as : Peter Damon , Alfredo Mayo , Eulália del Pino , José Marco Davó , Fernando Sancho , Helga Liné , Gérard Tichy , Emilio Rodríguez and special mention for the always likeable Manolo Moran who provides the necessary comic relief.

Containing an evocative and adequate cinematography by Alfredo Fraile , shot on location in Zaragoza , Air Base in Zaragoza , Garrapinillos, Zaragoza, Aragón, Spain . As well as atmospheric musical score Gregorio García Segura, including Aragonese choirs and dances , Aragonese Jotas , and American country music . This sensitive motion picture was well produced by the great producer Cesáreo González-Suevia Films and starring Antonio Vilar himself , being professionally directed by Luis Cesar Amadori , with emotion and enthusiasm enough . This Argentinian , nationalized Spanish writer/filmmaker so consistently mixed the good with the mediocre that it became quite impossible to know what to expect from him next . Here the craftsman Luis Cesar Amadori blends dramatic events along with popular songs . Amadori was an Italian-born former journalist and music critic who became a leading stage producer and dramatist , and , subsequently, writer-director of motion pictures in Argentina . Luis was manager in 150 theatrical spectacles . He debuts in ¨Puerto Nuevo¨(1936) co-directed by Mario Soffici . Amadori often used the pseudonym ¨Gabriel Peña¨ when he wrote his scripts . After the overthrow of Peron worked in Spain for a decade , for 1958 to 1968 he made 17 films , such as : 1965 ¨Más Bonita Que Ninguna¨ , 1964 ¨El Señor De La Salle¨ with Mel Ferrer , 1964 ¨Como Dos Gotas Agua¨ , 1963 ¨La Casta Susana¨ , 1961 ¨Pecado De Amor¨ , 1961 ¨Alerta en el Cielo¨ , 1960 ¨Mi Ultimo tango¨ , 1960 ¨Un Trono para Cristy¨ , 1959 ¨Una Gran Señora¨ , 1958 ¨Una Muchachita De Valladolid¨ . Most of them were vehicles of popular actresses as ¨Rocio Durcal¨ , ¨Marujita Diaz¨ , ¨Pili and Mili¨ and Sara Montiel with whom made this his biggest hit ¨La Violetera¨ .
