Attractive Spanish/Argentine/German co-production in which excels the real sympathy of Pablito Calvo

This an enjoyable and feeling movie full of mirth , humor touches and agreeable message and the scenarios in which develops the deeds are perfectly designed . Right developing resides on superb characters well performed by all casting and the sympathy , simplicity of Pablito Calvo . It is set in a fictitious South American country in which rules a dictator (Antonio Casas) whose child , Juanito (Pablito Calvo), is missing .In the middle of a revolution, the son of a president ends up in the hands of two German hunters (Georg Thomalla, Hans von Borsody) who welcome him into their home, not knowing his origin. As Juanito is lost and picked up by two good-natured hunters living in a mountain cabin, so they take care of the lost boy who enjoys them immensely , but eventually Juanito's caught a disease. Meanwhile, two beautiful girls (Carmencita : Sabine Bethmann and Luisa : Pilar Cansino) have gone on an excursion with their motorboat but it breaks down , being helped by the friendly hunters with whom they fall in love .

An agreeable and lively dramedy for the open-minded people , concerning kindness , sacrifice , generosity and kindness with nice mood , well-performed , and evocative scenarios . A sensitive movie with several nice characters , good feeling , romance adventure and something else . In ¨Spaghetti Western Data Base¨ this Juanito (1960) is classified as a Spaghettii Western but its is more a musical dramedy than a Spaghetti or Paella flick . However , there are some scenes when the revolution takes place that will breathe the typical aroma of the Zapata-Spaghetti Westerns . Here the handful of likable characters are really splendid and standing out the fine roles , they're good people , pleasant and kind except for the character interpreted by Félix Fernández. Interesting and engaging drama with songs containing a diverting screenplay from German writers Hans Bertram and Wolf Neumeister providing brief touches of comedy . Sympathy , fraternity , goodness, companionship , sacrifice mantain a real grip across , including a sensitive finale , adding other moving events .The main role "Juanito" is played by Pablito Calvo in a phenomenal manner , can be said that the same is perfectly adequate to his measure . ¨Juanito¨is masterfully acted by Pablito Calvo alongside with known actors playing philantropic roles. There appears notorious secondary actors , a plethora of familiar and prestigipous Spanish players acting to perfection , such as : Pilar Cansino , José Marco Davó , Antonio Casas, Alfredo Mayo , Ángel Ortiz, , José Manuel Martín , José María Prada , Manuel Arbó , Tomás Blanco , Ángel Álvarez , among others.

Rousing musical score by Augusto Algueró responds appropriately to the ambient , originating a careful atmosphere . Precious and luminous cinematography by Ricardo Torres who gives us an accurate scenario of the times is developed . Being shot in Estudios Ballesteros, Madrid, Spain and outdoors in Madrid Sierra , Navacerrada and others . The motion picture was professionally directed by Fernando Palacios, being well and solidly paced. Palacios was a director assistant Un ángel pasó por Brooklyn and Mi tío Jacinto starred by Pablito Calvo. Fernando Placios was a good filmmaker who directed some acceptable comedies as El dia de enamorados, Tres de la Cruz Roja, Vuelve San Valentin, Marisol rumbo a Rio, Operacion embajada, Buscame esa chica, La familia y uno mas , Whisky y Vodka and this Juanito . Rating : 6.5/10 .Worthwhile watching . The film appeal to Pablito Calvo fans.
