In the USA, Herts-Lion Internation bought the rights to the film with the intent to distribute it, dubbed, theatrically, but went out of business before this occur. The dubbed version subsequently went directly to TV.
This was only the second film, and the first science fiction/special effects production, to be directed by Jun Fukuda.

The English dubbing voice for Ikio Sawamura did an imitation of cartoon character Elmer Fudd's voice. Arthur Q. Bryan, the original voice of Elmer Fudd, had passed away in 1959, which was before this film was originally released in Japan. It's not currently known who did the English dubbing voice.
