Maureen Delaney: Mrs. Finnegan
Quotes
-
[Johnny walks into the seedy lodging house where Dave rents a room]
Mrs. Finnegan : Yes?
Johnny Mansell : Dave Mansell here?
Mrs. Finnegan : He's not back yet.
Johnny Mansell : I'm his brother. Mind if I go up to his room and wait for him?
Mrs. Finnegan : You if you want to. There's nothing worth taking.
Johnny Mansell : Where is it?
Mrs. Finnegan : Top floor back. Turn right at the top of the stairs and follow your nose.
Johnny Mansell : Door locked?
Mrs. Finnegan : Why should it be. *I'm* here, aren't I?
Johnny Mansell : I might be thinking of taking a room.
Mrs. Finnegan : There's one next to him vacant.
Johnny Mansell : How much?
Mrs. Finnegan : Thirty bob a week - in advance, if you *don't* mind.
[Johnny gets out his wallet and hands over three ten-shilling notes]
Johnny Mansell : I'll take it.
Mrs. Finnegan : Don't you want to see it first?
Johnny Mansell : [grinning] If I did, I probably wouldn't take it, would I?
