Amusing Spanish comedy based on the novel titled The inhabitants of the uninhabited house by prestigious writer Enrique Jardiel Poncela. It boasts a very good cast as Tony Leblanc Fernando Rey Luz Marquez as well as notorious secondaries . It deals with a successful writer played by Fernando Rey who travelling by train finds his old girlfriend, Luz Marquez, who time ago he was about to marry her but she suddenly disappeared . Rey helped by a botcher and coward but sympathetic man , Tony Leblanc, discover a set-up in which some crooks attempt to carry her a healing house to take her inheritange.

Fernando Rey is charming as the stubborn writer who attempts to retrieve his lost sweetheart. Attractive Luz Marquez as a beautiful woman who is deceived and blackmailed and coerced to be imprisoned at a mental sanatory as an insane girl . Support cast is frankly excellent plenty of known secondaries and cameos as Rosario Ortega , Manolo Gomez Bur , Goyo Lebrero , Xan Das Bolas , Jose Calvo, Agustin Gonzalez , Rufino Ingles, Fernando Fernan Gomez , Francisco Bernal, Joaquin Roa , and Rafael Bardem as the Hungarian father who suffers a blackmail .

Being shot in Chamartin studios Madrid with nice production design by the important designer Enrique Alarcon .The motion picture was professional but regularly directed by Pedro L Ramirez.
