¨Todos Somos Necesarios¨ is an enjoyable picture about redemption , faith , sacrifice and solidarity . It deals with a group of passengers on a train , and a lot of incidents happen aboard . After serving their sentence , three ex-convicts , a doctor named Julián Martínez Valdés (Alberto Closas) , a civil servant (Ferdinand Anton) and a thief (Folco Lulli) abandon prison . During the train trip they do together to return home , they analyze their stern lives . Later on , the doctor has been required to perform an operation on an ill kid left by his father , a ruthless millionaire who has a lover aboard . As the unfortunate doctor will have to decide whether to stay quiet or to undergo surgery .

An agreeable flick showing a sour social denounce adding the typical message , as it results to be a spiritual film and full of good feeling , touching sacrifice and dramatic relationship among train passengers . The film describes a moral argument about the rehabilitation of the ex-inmates , that's why they are rejected by the egoistic society , in spite of being freed from the jail . As it shows how the distrustful people have severe doubts of the moral condition of the ex-prisoners. Sensational performances from main cast as Alberto Closas and Folco Lulli ; Closas is terrific an an distressed doctor , when he has a vision and he has to decide whether operate a little boy or to stay . Along with the remaining cast including a great number of familiar faces as Rafaela Aparicio , Manuel Alexandre , Rafael Durán , José Marco Davo , Fernando Delgado , Ángel Alvarez , José Riesgo , José Calvo , Roberto Camardiel, Erasmo Parcual , José Franco , Jose Prada , Jose Sepúlveda and many others. The movie won several awards as : National Syndicate of Spectacle, Spain 1956 Won Prize of the National Syndicate of Spectacle Best Director ; and San Sebastián International Film Festival 1956 : Best Director Spanish Film José Antonio Nieves Conde , Best Screenplay Faustino González Aller and Best Actor - Spanish Film Alberto Closas .

Evocative and atmospheric cinematography in black and white by Francisco Sempere that would not improve in color. This is an acceptable film with fine sets by Enrique Alarcon and thanksgivings to RENFE providing the wagons , though lousy train scale models ; and well directed by Jose Antonio Nieves Conde , a director of great quality and with penchant for social denounce . His films debuts were three crime drama : ¨Senda Ignorada¨, ¨Angustia¨ and ¨LLegada De Noche¨. He went on to direct a successful religious movie : ¨Balarrasa¨. He's expert in filming all kinds of genres , as thought-provoking and brooding dramas : ¨Surcos¨ , ¨El Inquilino¨ ; religious cinema : ¨Balarrasa¨, ¨Cotolay¨ ; passionate story : ¨Casa Manchada¨ , ¨Mas Alla del Deseo¨ , ¨Marta¨ , ¨Historia una Traicion¨ ; Comedy : ¨Don Lucio and Hermano Pio¨ , ¨Prohibido Enamorarse¨ , an anti-communist movie : ¨Legion del Silencio¨ ,; anthology picture as the co-production : ¨Jack El Negro¨ and even Terror : ¨Sounds of horror¨ . Rating : 7 . Nice film , well worth watching , because being plenty of luminous sensibility , solidarity ,redemption , faith , cooperation and good feeling .
