The gimmick here is that for the one season of its run Wire Service had three different stars all playing wire service reporters. Usually their reporting of the news determined whether a story had more than local significance.
A different star alternated every week, George Brent, Dane Clark, and Mercedes McCambridge. More often than not these people were the story as well.
