Tex Avery and Michael Lah co-directed two cartoons after Avery decided to leave Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer animation studio and return to Walter Lantz's studio, where his animation career began: this one and Deputy Droopy (1955). This was Avery's last short at MGM animation studios; Lah went on to direct more "Droopy" cartoons, but they were not as popular.
