3 nuns, Ana Mariscal, Elvira Quintilla, Maria Dulce, are travelling by train from Irun and arrive in Madrid to stay at a convent and to go then Cadiz. At the train station, while they are taking their baggage, suddenly meet an abandoned baby at a basket . The baby was left by a spectacle dancer who quickly escaped, she is called Conchita : Elena Barrios, whose boyfriend, Virgilio Texeira, doesn't want him. The three nuns attempt to find out his parents by discovering the origin of a baby's garment, as that it was bought in Galerias Preciados Mall. Along the way they are helped by the best chauffeur they could have, a friendly and likeable taxi man : Jose Isbert. While Isbert driving his car, he has a car crash, having an argument with Antonio Garisa and both of them, along with the three nuns and a couple about to get married finish at the local police station between the cop chief, Jose Calvo.

An agreeable and charming picture with good message and attractive plot in which stands out comradeship, solidarity , goodness, friendship and love among people. There is a nice description of social habits, lower classes and Madrid life in the Fifties . Handsome and awesome main cast formed by the three nuns who stubbornly decide to find the parents' baby : Elvira Quintilla, Maria Dulce and Ana Mariscal who a bit later on, she turned to be a prestigious filmmaker. Exceptional support cast full of notorious Spanish secondaries as Antonio Garisa, Jose Luis Lopez Vazquez, Antonio Ozores, Felix Dafauce, Milagros Leal, Jose Calvo, Felix Fernandez, Mercedes Muñoz Sampedro, Lina Canalejas, Irene Caba Alba, Xan Das Bolas and many others. And, of course, the great Jose Isbert who steals the show as a sympathetic cabman married to Irene Caba Alba playing as an unfortunate wife whose very young child passed away .

It contains an evocative cinematography by an important cameraman with a long career, Cecilio Paniagua, though being really necessary a perfect remastering. Being shot in Madrid and Ballesteros studios. As well as atmospheric and adequate musical score by Isidro Maiztegui, including songs sung by Lina Canalejas. The motion picture was well directed by Jose Maria Forque. This filmmaker Forque being father actress Veronica Forque and director Alvaro Forque. Forque was a good professional who made a lot of films of all kinds of genres. As he directed mostly comedies as Maribel y la estraña familia, La becerrada, Atraco a las tres, El monumento, El triangulito, Un millon en la basura, Vacaciones para Ivette, Dame un poco de amor, Tengo diecisiete años, Casi un caballero, La cera Virgen, Las viudas, Las que tienen que servir, Que verde era mi duque .
