seductive, nostalgia source...
A Christian film in recipe sword and sandals can be only seductive. Especialy when the stars are a very young Jean Simmons and Victor Mature.
And, indeed, it is a beautiful film.
But the seduction has three main pillara > the lion, Alan Young and. Robert Newton. The old Christian legend of Androcles is contaminated with good humor and this makes the atmosphere and the rules in this case. Inclisive for a XIX century song interpreted by Christians of II century.
Good points, to - the question of honesty of faith , the instinct and faith and the fall, the define of faith and, not last, Jean Simmons in few beautiful close ups.
In short, inspiring nostalgia, a very nice film of a trendy, more than half century ago, trend.
