This story is based loosely on that of "Greyfriars Bobby", which has appeared in several film versions.
Opening credits: Edinburgh-1860 And towering over all, Castle Rock, with much of its military history lost in the dimness of time. But now another kind of history was being made as each night its sunset bugle sounded -- history of a dog's loyalty and devotion. This devotion led to troubles which greatly upset the dog -- and upset the city so thoroughly that matters finally reached the High Courts.
Donald Crisp ('Jock' Gray) would later appear in Greyfriars Bobby: The True Story of a Dog (1961), which was likewise based on Eleanor Atkinson's 1912 novel "Greyfriars Bobby".
Final film of Henry Stephenson (Sir Charles Loring). After performing in a play and a couple of TV programs, he retired in 1951.
Final film of Agnes Steele.
