ma-cortes20 February 2018
The picture titled ¨Spanish Serenade¨ deals with mostly fictitious episodes in the life of Spanish pianist and composer Isaac Albéniz .This movie contains some biographical remarks with inclusion some re-enacting of fundamental deeds on Albeniz's (Julio Peña) life . However , it relies heavily on his loving stories , especially the relationship to three beautiful women , the good woman (Maruchi Fresno) , the bad girl (Maria Martin) and the Folkloric singer gypsy (Juanita Reina) . At the same time , the film narrates Isaac's relation to two friends , the good-looking guy (Ricardo Acero) and the drunk man (Antonio Vico) , the latter to have a fateful fate . Meanwhile , Isaac Albeniz meets Frank Von Lizst who gives him nice advices .

Briefly biographic film about the famous pianist Isaac Albeniz , it is packed with love stories , Folkloric songs sungs by Juanita Reina , and strong ideological charge . The flick is marred by overacting , most of them play similarly to stage actors ; as the influence of the theater in players results to be extreme and embarrassing , as some actors give ridiculous and histrionic performances . The film was highly budgeted , including atmospheric and evocative score by Juán Quintero . As well as adequate cinematography in black and white by Willy Goldberger.

Being regularly directed by Juán De Orduña who made a dull , tiring and overlong film . Of aristocratic origin, Juan de Orduña y Fernández-Shaw, born in Madrid in 1900 and he decased in 1974 , he started his longtime affection for acting while still attending college. he debuted on silent films in 1924, and in 1925 he was cast in La casa de la Troya (1925), then in El Marino Español (1926) a.k.a. Boy (silent version), and started his own company. In 1928 he both starred in and directed Una aventura de cine (1928), and from then on he would progressively concentrate on directing. He also starred in El misterio de la Puerta del Sol (1930), the first Spanish sound picture . With director Florian Rey , Orduña formed the production company "Goya Films" . Juán directed various historical films , lavishly produced by CIFESA , the most known production company during Francoist period , that often financed these false but breathtaking epic spectacles . For example , ¨Alba De America¨ it is considered to be one of the worst super-productions of the powerful Francoist company CIFESA and it caused its fall and it went subsequently bankrupt . Juán adapted to cinema famous novels such as : ¨Zalacaín El Aventurero¨ , ¨Cañas Y Barro¨ , ¨El Frente De Los Suspiros¨ , ¨Nobleza Baturra¨ , ¨Lola Se Va a Los Huertos¨ , being especially known for his historical renditions such as : ¨Teresa De Jesús¨ , ¨La Leona De Castilla¨ , ¨Agustina De Aragón¨ and ¨Locura De Amor¨ . His most successful picture was ¨El Ultimo Cuple¨ with Sara Montiel .
