Sex & Nudity

  • It is heavily implied that that a Nazi female collaborator is a lesbian and involves a female informer to satisfy her urges. They are seeing laying in each other's arms on a couch. No nudity or sex.
  • A character is implied to be a prostitute, however nothing is shown
  • One of the main characters has an out-of-wedlock pregnancy.
  • In one scene, a woman is clearly not wearing a bra and her nipples are revealed. In another scene, one cabaret dancer is wearing lingerie that exposes most of her chest and cleavage is seen. A few women undress, but only their undergarments are seen. During a torture scene, a man is seen to be bare chested.
  • A baby boy is seen going to the bathroom on a small pot. His front is visible for a moment.

Violence & Gore

  • A woman is shot and killed (no blood is seen) in front of a crowd and a crying child.
  • A man is tortured by means of whipping, burning, and stabbing. However, we mostly see the results of the torture and only briefly see stabbing and burning.

Profanity

  • Since the film is in Italian and German there is a possibilty of profanity used in either language, however, no profanity is seen in English subtitles.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Frequent smoking and a few sequences of alcohol consumption.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Film deals with mature and disturbing thematic including torture and Nazi-related violence.

Violence & Gore

  • A priest is shot by a group of men, but is not killed immediately. An angry soldier then proceeds to shoot and kill the priest in the head at point blank range. All of which is seen by a group of children in the distance.
