One of over 700 Paramount Productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since. Its initial television broadcast took place in Omaha Saturday 6 December 1958 on KETV (Channel 7), but the dubious nature of its title seemed to raise sponsor resistance, and further airings were few and far between. Seven months passed before there is any evidence of its being taken off the shelf again, when it popped up again, this time in Denver 3 July 1959 on KBTV (Channel 9) and five months after that in Milwaukee 12 December 1959 on WITI (Channel 6), in Asheville, North Carolina 11 March 1960 on WLOS (Channel 13), and in Toledo, Ohio 12 March 1960 on WTOL (Channel 11).
