When the film was re-submitted to the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) for a modern rating; a compulsory cut amounting to two seconds in total was required in order to remove sight of real animal cruelty (sight of a horse being tripped up and made to fall onto its head and neck) in line with UK law and the BBFC Guidelines and policy in regards to portrayal of animal cruelty in films. Following these cuts the film was passed "PG" without further cuts
