- Tex and his pals join the Rangers to fight rustlers along the border. When Doc and Pee Wee get framed for rustling and then jailed, Tex deserts the Rangers, crosses the border, and joins up with the outlaw gang hoping somehow to clear his pals.—Maurice VanAuken <mvanauken@a1access.net>
- En route to the Desert Wells Arizona Rangers post, Tex Wells (Tex Ritter) and his pals "Doc" Thornton (Horace Murphy) and "Pee Wee" McDougal (Snub Pollard) rescue stagecoach passenger Louise Rogers (Louise Stanley), traveling to Mexico, from the highwaymen robbing the stagecoach. Arriving at Desert Wells, they report to Arizona Rangers Captain Reyes (Jack Rockwell) who informs them that the Arizona/Mexico border country is being harried by a band of rustlers and they are assigned to guard the Walker Ranch herd. The rustlers stage a diversion that draws them away from the herd and "Doc" and "Pee Wee" are suspected of complicity with the rustlers and jailed. Tex deserts across the border to obtain proof of their innocence. In the Mexican border town he finds Louise working as a Cantina entertainer, and meets the leaders of the gang, Jeff Jeffries (Earl Dwire) and "Butch" Regan (Charles King). Accepted as a member of the gang because of his desertion, Tex tries to lead them across the border into a Ranger ambush, but they escape. Regan, jealousy of Louise's evident fondness for the renegade Ranger, accuses Tex of double crossing and they have a fist-fight in which Tex is victorious. Searcing for aid in clearing "Doc" and "Pee Wee", Tex meets with Captain Mendoza(Martin Garralaga) of the Mexican Rurales and Louise, who tells him she is really a secret agent of the Mexican government.—Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>
