As the full truckload of barrels is rolling down the hill, there is a face-on shot of the Stooges (clearly stunt doubles) running uphill towards the camera. Curly is to Moe's left with Larry to Moe's right. It immediately switches to a side view, where Curly is suddenly to Moe's right with Larry to Moe's left.
When Curly first tees off, he throws the ball on the ground a few feet away from a table. In the next scene, the ball is only inches away.
As the stooges run up hill back toward the truck, the traffic cop and streetcar tracks disappear, and there is a row of bushes on the right where a retail store was in the previous shot. The shot was clearly filmed on a different street.
When Moe and Larry are reading the golf tournament announcement, it says, "Public Golf Course, Sunday, Dec. 19, 1935." December 19, 1935 was a Thursday.
Stunt doubles are obvious when the entire truck load of barrels is rolling down the hill toward the stooges, a distance shot shows "Moe" being considerably taller than the other two, "Larry" is wearing a wig and "Curly" is wearing a bald cap.
When the barrels are rolling down the hill, the cop directing traffic lifts his leg up before he falls over.
When the cotton-ball from Moe's hat rolls into the hole, a string is visible attached to it, indicating it was shown in reverse.
When Moe is raising the beer barrel up to Curly on a rope, you can hear the director shouting in the background.
Boom Mike Shadow can be seen swinging out of view on the right side bottom of screen on the road going up the hill as the stooges escape from the golf course.
