SPOILERS:

Here's a plot description, "After he learns that the husband of his mistress, Judy Bryant, is threatening to name him as a co-respondent in a divorce case, playboy Lyle Stuart takes a walk near his New York home and encounters a young woman named Natalie. Tailed by two policemen, Natalie embraces Lyle on the street and successfully eludes arrest. At Lyle's house, Natalie confesses that she is involved with a gangster called Rocco, who earlier that day had murdered his rival in her presence, thereby making her a murder suspect. Confident of Natalie's innocence, Lyle, whose aunt Henrietta has threatened to cut off his inheritance if any scandal touches the family name, suggests that, to alleviate both of their predicaments, they marry and honeymoon in Paris. Although at first leary of Lyle's offer, Natalie finally agrees to the marriage of convenience and, with her cardsharp uncle John in tow, sails to Europe with him. Also on board the ocean liner are Judy and her husband George, who has been temporarily persuaded by his wife that her interest in the newlywed Lyle is strictly friendly. In spite of their stated agreement, Natalie finds herself jealous of the clinging Judy, while Lyle feels frustration at Natalie's lack of affection. Before they dock in Paris, Judy informs Lyle that if he tries to reject her in favor of Natalie, she will tell his aunt about their affair. At Henrietta's, Lyle and Natalie play the part of the happy newlyweds, which further infuriates Judy. When Judy then learns that George, who earlier had alluded to Natalie his intention to commit suicide, has died in a skiing accident, she forces Lyle's hand. Given an ultimatum, Lyle decides to confess all to Henrietta, who, seeing his love for the charming Natalie, easily forgives him. After Lyle convinces her to return with him to New York, Natalie is threatened with exposure by Rocco, who uses a cigarette case that she had given him as part of his blackmail scheme. With help from Uncle John, Natalie succeeds in winning the case from Rocco's cohort during a crooked poker game. After she confesses her past to Lyle's understanding cousin, Jerry Landers, a district attorney who has been investigating Rocco, Natalie unlocks her bedroom door and invites Lyle to consummate their marriage."
