Sex & Nudity

  • The protagonist is a ladies' man who had a month-long affair with a married woman several years ago (before her marriage). Their romance is rekindled and they spend some time alone in her apartment. The night before, the protagonist was seen to set up a meeting with an Irish dancer in a pub, and then stay out all night in her company.

Violence & Gore

  • Several gun battles are seen. Some soldiers are shot and fall down. Shots are exchanged in between factions including at least one man who is shot dead.

  • Tobacco smoking is common. Social alcohol consumption including one character who goes on an all-night bender.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • One Sinn Féin member is captured, undergoes military trial and is sentenced to hang. In the meantime, a British army intelligence officer is kidnapped and held hostage by Sinn Féin who threaten to kill him if their leader is hung.
