The tiny car driving down the sidewalk early in the film is an American Austin coupe. American Austin Car Company was founded in 1929, just in time for the Great Depression. It built almost 8500 vehicles in 1930, but production declined rapidly as the economy continued to tank. The company lasted until 1935, when it was liquidated.
