- There is a feud on the Colonel's ranch between his foreman Longrope and some of the hands. The Colonel is firing those that don't get along with Longrope and it looks like Wally will be next. But things change when Jim overhears Longrope's plan to rob the Colonel. Longrope shoots Jim and this sends Wally into action.—Maurice VanAuken <mvanauken@a1access.net>
- O-C Ranch Cowhand Wally Weldon (Hal Taliaferro'as Wally Wales) has a confrontation with his foreman, Long-Rope Wheeler (Robert Walker), over a practical joke Wheeler pulled on the town's Chinese laundryman (Alfred Hewston) . Wally and his pal Shorty (Bobby Dunn) are riding back to the ranch and run across Jim Bradley (Buzz Barton), a teen-ager searching for his long-missing father. They bring him back to the ranch where he is hired on as a cook's helper. Ranch owner Colonel Sterner (Lafe McKee), father of Wally's sweetheart Betty (Virginia Brown Faire) is taken with the boy and, although fond of Wally, fires him over the dispute with Wheeler. Jim overhears the plot between Wheeler and the ranch cook, Cookie (George Gerwing), to rob Sterner, and is shot by the cook. While the doctor ('John Ince') attends Jim, a photo reveals he is the son of Sterner. Wally, learning of the plot, captures the cook in town and forces his confession to Sheriff Cole (Hank Bell). The wires are cut when he phones the ranch, and he is off to the ranch where Shorty and Jim are under siege by Wheeler and his henchmen.—Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>
