Target followed suit, announcing their intentions to “green up” their beauty offerings within the next few years. And now, Bluemercury has announced plans to boost their selection of natural brands to their already wide selection of healthy beauty options.

Harry Nilson's "Perfect Day" scores the mournful first trailer for Angelina Jolie's By the Sea, in which she co-stars with husband Brad Pitt along with Niels Arestrup, Melanie Laurent and Melvil Poupaud. As they spend time with fellow travelers, including young newlyweds Lea (Laurent) and Fran?ois (Poupaud) and village locals Michel (Arestrup) and Patrice (Richard Bohringer), the couple begins to come to terms with unresolved issues in their own lives. Good news: A new Frozen song is here! Bad news: It’s not as catchy as “Let It Go.” (Though that second part might actually be good news for parents.)
The new song, “Make Today the Perfect Day,” is from the Frozen Fever short film that will premiere before Cinderella. The plot this time revolves around Elsa (Idina Menzel) trying to plan a surprise party for Anna (Kristen Bell), but developing a very untimely cold. Take a listen:

So we can all agree it doesn’t top “Let It Go” -- but how could it?! Still, it’s on par with other favorites like “Love Is an Open Door” and “Fixer Upper,” and is the first time the entire cast has appeared on one song, with little cameos by Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and Olaf (Josh Gad).

Oh my, how the mighty had fallen! I had vague memories of Monkey Shines when I watched it over twenty years ago and, after revisiting this, it all makes sense why this film doesn’t spring to mind when I think of Romero’s great early body of work. George A. Romero’s first studio film ideally should have been the perfect opportunity for him to showcase his talent in a direction that nobody would expect and on paper it would seem that was his intention.

The "Anger Management" star took the former porn star on a private jet to Hawaii for the occasion.
Sharing the fun via social media, Brett posted a couple of photos of her and Charlie against beautiful Hawaiian backgrounds with the caption, "Perfect day!"
The future Mrs. Sheen will follow his previous wives, Donna Peele, Denise Richards, and Brooke Mueller.

Woot woot! My pick to win Best Director at the Oscars took home the Feature Film trophy at the recently concluded Directors Guild of America awards. And it's truly deserving! Cuaron defied gravity, yes pun intended, to create "Gravity," a movie grounded in sci-fi realism that many directors before him (including James Cameron) were saying that it would be hard to do. But Cuaron did it, and did it extremely well! So hats off to "Gravity" and Cuaron's direction!
Here's the complete list of winners of the DGA awards and right after the jump, check out my interview with Cuaron for "Gravity" that we conducted back in October. Oh, and take a look at my interview with the lovely Sandra Bullock as well.

Updated: Gravity does not seem to be falling on the awards circuit. Alfonso Cuarón walked away with the top honor at the Directors Guild of America Awards Saturday night in Los Angeles, beating out Martin Scorsese, David O. Russell, Paul Greengrass, and Steve McQueen.
“This is truly an honor and I am humbled by it,” Cuarón said to the audience of his peers after last year’s winner Ben Affleck presented him with the award. But Gravity was not the work of just one mind, and no one knows that more keenly than Cuarón. “Directing is about the work of your collaborators,...

While LeAnn Rimes may no longer be publicly feuding with Brandi Glanville, she certainly hasn't cut back on her Twitter activity. The 31-year-old country crooner went camping with her hot hubby Eddie Cibrian over the weekend, and in typical Leann Rimes' fashion, she documented the entire excursion on social media for all to see. "Perfect day," Rimes captioned a cute pic of the lovebirds, who look happier than ever as they smile in the sunshine while Eddie is dressed in his bike riding gear as LeAnn appears to be sporting a fresh face. "We are in heaven this morning!!!!! #campingandbikeriding," the blonde beauty wrote on Saturday, Jan, 18, sharing the first photo of the stunning...

Karrueche took off her makeup and her clothes for a selfie, laying outside in the sun! Her bikini straps were pulled down and tucked away — she doesn’t want tan lines! While it wasn’t captioned, Karrueche looked beautiful and super relaxed!

Today was a busy day for some of the smaller guilds with the Visual Effects Society, the Cinema Audio Society, and the Makeup and Hairstylists Guilds all announcing their nominations for 2013.
First, we have the Ves, whose main category to look at is “Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual Effects-Driven Feature Motion Picture,” where we find Gravity and four other nominees that are just going to have to be happy with the fact that they got nominated. This is perhaps the easiest category to call in the entirety of awards season, and I don’t mean just here, but for the Oscar as well (Last year’s winner, Life of Pi, easily took this category before going on to claim the Oscar). It’s true that films like The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and Star Trek Into Darkness had outstanding effects as well, but nothing even came close to the amazing,...

You wouldn't know it by looking at her, but apparently Nina Dobrev was battling a cold during last night's Golden Globe Awards. "Perfect day/timing to get sick," she wrote on her WhoSay account. The Vampire Diaries star shared a few snapshots of her surrounded by a sea of cold medications, including throat lozenges, Throat Coat tea, vitamin supplements and zinc throat drops. The 25-year-old also revealed that she made room in her Raowulf clutch for several lozenges (as well as sticks of gum and her ID) on another WhoSay snapshot. Despite warding off a cold, Dobrev looked positively stunning on the red carpet. She wore a revealing Armani Prive cocktail dress, Aperlai...

This year was a great one for truly terrifying movies, from The Conjuring and the Insidious sequel to Mama and The Purge. But the most head-in-your-hands frightening may have been You’re Next, the twisted home-invasion flick that yielded a high body count with its clever execution of extreme executions. Part collaborative indie project, part horror homage, You’re Next is the story of a joyous family reunion that is interrupted by murderous intruders wearing animal masks. Per horror tradition, the family gets picked off one by one — Why? We’re not sure… yet. — but nothing about You’re Next...

It’s not easy making a great movie, but it’s even harder making a great trailer. Like all advertising, movie trailers have evolved in the last few decades to become a genuine pop culture event. An effective trailer can do wonders for a film, especially for a film that doesn’t come with a built-in audience. There’s no faster way to create buzz than with a good trailer, and a well made trailer can turn a movie from a first-time director starring a bunch of then-unknowns into the most-buzzed about movie for weeks. Meanwhile a poor trailer can doom a movie right from the start. Every year there are but a few trailers that, independent of the film they’re promoting, capture everyone’s full attention. Here are the trailers of 2013 that were able to do that best.
Please note: This is Ricky’s list. Deepayan’s list will follow next week.

Sadly, two acts were eliminated tonight — but luckily we saw amazing performances from Selena Gomez and Fifth Harmony to cheer us up! Read on for more details.

Selena Gomez & Fifth Harmony Perform On The ‘X Factor’
There’s nothing like fun performances from pop stars to get everyone in a true X Factor mood!
Selena Gomez, 21, graced viewers with her presence, dressed in a slinky black outfit, with black boots to match. She surrounded herself with back-up dancers for an electrifying performance of her chart-topping smash, “Slow Down.” With her energy and stage presence, we’re thinking Selena could teach the current crop of contestants a thing or two about having the “x” factor.
Fifth Harmony also performed their hit single, “Me and My Girls,...

Last week rock music legend Lou Reed sadly died of liver disease in his beloved city of New York. He rose to fame fronting The Velvet Underground and as a defining part of the 60s glitterati alongside Andy Warhol and David Bowie.
Velvet Underground are best known for their self titled album in collaboration with Nico, but a lot of people don’t realise Reed himself has worked with some of today’s coolest acts.
This list explores the tracks you may have missed out on featuring the late great Lou Reed himself
Honorable Mention: Various Artists For Children In Need 1997 ‘Perfect Day’
This cover of Reed’s most well known track was recorded in parts, Band Aid style, for a BBC trail. The ad (which became the single’s video) included appearances by legends such as David Bowie, Elton John, Bono, Brett Anderson (Suede), Boyzone, Tom Jones, Shane MacGowan,...

The next-generation of gaming is on the horizon. It’s hard to believe it but we are just 2 weeks away from Sony’s Perfect Day; the exciting North American launch of their highly hyped Playstation 4 console.
As someone who grew up primarily with the Playstation 1 (I was far too young and innocent to take any game seriously on my Sega Genesis and Snes) I couldn’t be more excited. I am just itching to pick up my console and mess around with it, and to of course write my thoughts here and review some heavy hitting titles like Killzone: Shadow Fall and Knack.
We still have to grind out those final 2 weeks though, and while great games like Assassin’s Creed IV are keeping us occupied, Sony is also releasing some juicy nuggets (or walls of text) of information. I’m referring to the official Playstation 4 ultimate user guide!

In 1972, a couple of years after the Velvet Underground imploded, Lou Reed, struggling to latch onto his identity as a solo artist, kicked off a period of rapid-fire image transformation roughly parallel to the more high-profile one that David Bowie was enacting. For three or four years, Reed tried on his outlaw personas like costumes from hell (Iggy-ish gutter hunk, kohl-eyed leather-bar rock & roll animal, cropped-blond ambisexual mannequin). It was his way of tapping into the liberating boundary-bashing of the post-’60s wasteland. During that period, Reed tried to live up to the ideal of being a “transformer” (the title of his second,...

Lou Reed was responsible for some of the most well-known and influential songs in the the history of rock and roll, and there’s no mistaking one of his signature tunes: “What Goes On,” “Walk on the Wild Side,” “Perfect Day,” “Satellite of Love,” and a dozen or so others. But today is a fitting time to celebrate his entire catalogue by looking beyond the tracks everybody knows from mainstream radio, television advertisements, and film soundtracks. Here are ten lesser-known classics written by Reed that deserve more love, and please give shout-outs to your own personal favorites in the comments section.1. “The Ostrich,” the Primitives (1965) As an in-house songwriter for the exploitation label Pickwick Records, Reed wrote tongue-in-cheek rip-offs of songs by the Beach Boys, Phil Spector, and many others. It’s unclear what exactly this one is ripping off, but its manic energy and noisy “ostrich”-tuned guitar foreshadows...

Sony has released an epic new official commercial for PlayStation 4, called "Perfect Day," which includes a little touch of... cute? I wasn't expecting this kind of commercial for the campaign, but I enjoyed it! There's a lot of production value that went into this ad, and the little tune they added joyfully brings it all together.
The PlayStation 4 will launch on November 15 in Canada and the U.S., and from November 29 in Europe.

Sony debuted an all-new PlayStation 4 ad last night during Monday Night Football. Much like the company’s Greatness Awaits advertisement, this latest commercial is also live action and features references to The Elder Scrolls Online, DriveClub and Killzone: Shadow Fall. Filmed to the tranquil sound of Lou Reed’s ‘Perfect Day,’ you can check out the video in full below.
Following two friends role-playing through different blockbuster titles, the video unashamedly fits between musical and goofy comedy. From Tamriel to Helghast, the footage manages to capture some of the most-anticipated next-gen titles. And though The Elder Scrolls Online isn’t slated to release until early 2014, DriveClub and Killzone: Shadow Fall are there to represent the console’s launch line-up – a collection that won’t include Ubisoft’s cross-gen Watch Dogs.

This Friday the 13th, we are proud to bring you a new column called The Thirteen! The Thirteen will be a Top 13 list of a topic that we choose and the column will run every 13th of the month! The Thirteen is a collaborative column where we all decide on entries that fit said topic.
The topic this month: regular songs that have now taken on a haunting feel thanks to a film that used it in a unorthodox way. Now, every time we hear the song, we not only think of the film it was featured in but also get the heebie jeebies from it as well. It was inspired by Tiny Tim’s song Tiptoe Through the Tulips which was used in the film Insidious. With Insidious: Chapter 2 in theaters now, what better way to introduce this topic.
