's first all-sound film.
The Earl Wayland Bowman novel previously had been adapted by Universal in 1923 under the title The Ramblin' Kid (See Entry). That film, which was directed by Edward Sedgwick, also starred Hoot Gibson, who co-starred with Laura La Plante.
