When Grant (Tom Mix) tells Estelle about the smugglers' camp that "It's a bunch of Chinamen - growing vegetables for Fred Harvey", he is referring to the Harvey House chain of restaurants that catered to railway passengers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Fred Harvey, the original owner, died in 1901, two decades before this film was made.
The first theatrical feature film to show the Grand Canyon from the air.
Selected for preservation in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress in 1998.
