PamelaShort17 February 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Young Joan ( Shirley Mason ) runs away on Christmas Eve from the harsh woman who had taken her from an orphanage and finds shelter at the White's mansion. Joan saves Rodney White ( Raymond McKee ) from killing himself because he is a victim of the white plague. Impressed with Joan's kindness and faith, Rodney adopts her, taking her out West with his aunt in hopes of recovering his health. There, at an Indian settlement, they discover that Major Philips ( Al Fremont ) is selling whiskey to the Indians; Philips retaliates by hiring the Indian Chawa ( Hooper Toler ) to kill Rodney and kidnap Joan. Rodney is only injured, however, and with the aid of the recluse Dr. Norman ( Cecil Van Auker ), recovers. They eventually rescue Joan from her kidnapper, Rodney learns that he is cured, and he and Joan fall in love.

The original working title for this Fox Film Corporation drama was Joan of Rainbow Springs. Sadly this 1920 silent film is now lost.
