The first cut of this film was five reels of pantomime, unrelieved by title cards. In a moment of twelfth-hour jitters, Samuel Goldwyn (then Samuel Goldfish) ordered titles inserted, which only underscored Maxine Elliott's exaggerated acting. The Goldwyn Company had its first major flop with this film.
Extant prints are archived in the US and Russia.
