A meritorious Western drama that is splendidly produced and acted. Frank Turner does fine real artistic work as the hunchback; a difficult role to sustain. Never once does he lose his grip on the characterization. Lillian Gish did equally as well in the part of the orphan. - The Moving Picture World, April 18, 1914
