A delicious bit of humor, with the acting so natural that it actually seems as though Bill was really frightened when he sees the spinster which the boys have rigged up for him and undertake to foist upon him through the offices of a bogus clergyman. When Bill runs they all run after him and the ceremony is performed regardless of his protestations. After they have all left, however, he discovers the deception and realizes that perhaps his friends have saved him from a cruel fate. At any rate he is cured of the loving habit and determines that single blessedness is quite the proper thing after all. - The Moving Picture World, April 23, 1910
