- "Madhura Charika" is a poignant story about Wilson Godamanne, an 85-year old former film actor,who lives with his son,daughter in law and two grandchildren in the picturesque hill country of Sri Lanka.

How does the love triangle between Kovalan, Kannagi and Madhavi end..? How does Kannagi who aspires for Buddhahood become Goddess Paththini..?
- Asanka, a well educated degree holder leaves his home and wealth after he's parents tragic death. He comes to Colombo and works as a school bus conductor in disguise with his friend, Peter. Soon he falls in love with Dhammi, a school girl in the bus and has an affair with her. However Dhammi's sister, Nimmi opposes that relationship and does everything in her power to sabotage it. Things take a twisted turn when a tragic incident takes place, changing Nimmi's heart and Asanka, Dhammi and Nimmi dropping into a complicated love triangle.

Soon Sherin gets murdered and Ishara and Sameera tries to uncover the secrets behind the murder but then unexpectedly, Ishara gets kidnapped again, and its upto Sameera to solve all the mystries and save Ishara.
- The film revolves around a failed coup led by monks in leading temples to kill Keerthi Sri Rajasinghe, the reigning king during the Kandyan period. Alternating between the past and present, the story reflects on the social and political instability that prevailed during this period. The movie blends Buddhism, politics and egoistic human instincts, hence the name 'Bhawatharana' which translates to 'Crossing of Samsära'.
