- Early nineteenth century. Returning to his home, an unexpected guest is forced to take refuge in a solemn but disquieting mansion. He is greeted by a strange old woman, whose behavior is totally disturbing. It will soon discover the terrible truth that awaits dormant in the heart of the home, the terror that slumbers after a dismal black door. In light of the fireplace and with an impending storm, an old man decides to tell his granddaughter this terrifying story turned into legend.
- This is about the Spanish writer Francisco Ayala who in his youth, while being student of law, became a film critic in the very prestigious papers Ernesto Giménez Caballero's "La Gazeta Literaria" and José Ortega y Gasset's "Revista de Occidente" in Madrid on the 1920's decade. Otherwhise Francisco Ayala introduces his involvements on his social and cultural environnement in his novels and avant-gardist writings such as "El boxeador y un ángel" or "Cazador en el alba".
